Chris Blackburn FIFireE, MInstLM, HND, PgC

Chris is the principal consultant at Blackburn Associates, a fire risk management consultancy he started following a long career in the fire and rescue service. Consultancy work completed includes fire risk assessments in all types of premises, timber frame construction site fire spread risk assessments and fire strategy reports for building regulations applications.
Prior to starting the consultancy, he served for 33 years’ in the Fire and Rescue Service both as a front-line firefighter and as the senior officer in charge of large operational incidents.
Chris is a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers (FIFireE) and also a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM) and has a Higher National Diploma in fire safety studies awarded by the University of Central Lancashire.
