Health and safety expert with 30+ years experience covering many industries and processes, from Asbestos to Zoonoses.
10 years as an HSE Inspector with specialisms in Agriculture, Construction, Demolition, Asbestos management, Industrial Radiography, Fairgrounds, and much more. Undertook many prosecutions personally (no solicitor) including briefing Council directly for Crown Court cases.
13 years at Newcastle University, managing health and safety for 23,000 people, over 180 structures, in numerous countries. Specialist additional work on biological and chemical laboratory safety.
Freelance since 2012 undertaking training and consultancy work in addition to being an expert witness for criminal and civil cases.

      - A short course for up to 8 people delivered on your site. This is a bespoke course dedicated to your people using your DSE forms and methodologies but my experience and additional materials to deliver an understanding of the process of DSE assessment and practical examples from your workplace. Includes assistance with practical elements of setting chairs, aranging desks, evaluating seating position and other points that are not normally supported in off-the-shelf courses.
    - Accident and Incident Investigation Training
      (£750.00) – Deadline to be pre-agreed
      - A One Day course for up to 8 people delivered at you site, looking at the purposes and processes of investigation, undertaking interviews and basic investigation record keeping. This can be modified to include your accident reporting forms and any other in-house paperwork you use. A second day incorporating additional investigation skills for photography, samples, taking more difficult statements and other more advance skills (including a fun practical session) can also be added.

The time spent can be aggregated across several sessions (for example four 1.5 hour meetings would aggregate to one day of work).

Aggregation can be achieved over any one month period.
