A regulatory professional with over 30 years experience working in food related roles in enforcement and in industry. I began my career as a Trading Standards Officer specialising in food enforcement in 1986 and moved to work in the compliance team within a major retailer in 1996, where my final role included responsibility for own label product labelling and the product launch process. In 2010 I moved into consultancy, building and leading a team of 20 food labelling and product specification specialists supporting food manufacturers and retailers, providing training, advice and food label and specification approval services. I left to be an independent consultant to the food industry in summer 2019.
