MY TEAM

I’ve been a safety advisor and trainer for twenty years. I have a Level 5 Certificate in Education and have experience in classroom, remote and on-line training.

I also hold a Level Seven Diploma in Business Management.

Most of my experience has been within the hospitality industry; including food safety and health and safety audits, training and Account Management.

My company, Hygienie Ltd is a registered training centre with Highfield (Levels Two to Four, Food Safety and Health and Safety).

In addition to hospitality, I have auditing experience in the following:

Swimming pools, gyms, warehouses, offices, holiday parks and play areas.

I’ve developed internal courses in health and safety, fire safety and playground inspections.
All were presented with PowerPoint.

I’ve recently developed e-learning courses. I’ve self taught skills in animation, video editing and audio editing. I have also integrated these videos into classroom and remote training presentations. Over 1,000 delegates have taken my on-line food safety courses on Udemy.

- Fire Safety
  - Half Day
    (£165.00) – Deadline 14 Days
    - Review of existing Fire Risk Assessment to confirm all action points have been addressed, no circumstances have changed, and to coach where additional work is required. ‘Paper Trail’ examining internal checks, certificates, training etc. Fire audit: Examining the risk of fire starting, the suitability of current controls and assessing staff knowledge. Coaching managers on reviewing the Fire Risk Assessment. Written report provided to include: Opportunities for improvement. Action plan agreed with management, allocating responsibilities for improvement to individual team members or departments. Audit length and protocol are negotiable (pro rata £330 per day).

    - Examination of food safety procedures against legal and internal standards. Providing an estimation of EHO food hygiene rating, using the same brand standards scoring guidance as EHO. Scores for Practices, Structure, and Confidence in Management to reflect EHO rating system. Written report to include: Opportunities for improvement. Action plan to be agreed with management, allocating responsibilities for improvement to individual team members or departments. Audit length and protocol are negotiable (pro rata £330 per day).

    - Hazard spotting exercise walking through the unit, observing practices, identifying hazards and risks, identifying opportunities for improvement. ‘Paper trail audit’ e.g. risk assessments verified, maintenance certificates up to date, training records complete, signs and posters displayed as required etc. Staff knowledge: questioning and observation on key health and safety points. Written report to include: Opportunities for improvement. Action plan to be agreed with management, allocating responsibilities for improvement to individual team members or departments. Audit length and protocol are negotiable (pro rata £330 per day).

    - Site visit to advise on food safety, health and safety, and fire safety. Examination of paper work, practices and staff knowledge. Identifying areas for improvement with a written report. Allocates accountability for improvements as required.

  - 2.5 hour
    (£83.00) – Deadline to be pre-agreed
    - Ordering a meal/item as a customer to ensure the correct procedures are followed in line with legislation. Verifying pre-packed products are labelled as required. 'Paper trail' audit verifying allergen information is correct and up to date, training records are complete. Examination of food production to verify compliance. Questioning of staff to establish knowledge levels. Report provided identifying areas for improvement where necessary. Audit length and protocol are negotiable (pro rata £330 per day)

    - Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Course For Catering
      (£330.00) – Deadline to be pre-agreed
      - One day course delivering Level Two course to delegates within a classroom environment or via Zoom. Delegates will be provided with free life-time access to our e-learning course, which is ideal for refresher training. The one-day course includes interactive group and individual exercises, videos, and using my 20 years of auditing experience to relate the concepts to real life. A brief policy research will be completed prior to the course to ensure that, where possible, course concepts can be related to the company’s food safety system. For classroom courses, the price of £330 does not include any venue or refreshment costs. These are to be provided by the client where applicable. Highfield qualification (recognised on the national qualifications framework) = An additional cost of £8.25 per delegate for Highfield registration, exam marking and electronic certificate. Note, for Zoom courses, client must provide their own invigilation for an exam held at a suitable venue. Alternatively, Highfield remote invigilation can also be provided for an addition cost of £35 per person. Delegates will need a computer with a camera, a smart phone and adequate WIFI. Hygienie certificate (not recognised on the national qualifications but accepted by EHO) = Complete the e-learning course and certificate for no additional cost.
    - Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering
      (£660.00) – Deadline to be pre-agreed
      - Two-day Level Three course (plus revision and homework) within a classroom environment or via Zoom. Delegates will be provided with free life-time access to our Level 3 e-learning course, which is ideal for revision and refresher training. Workbook also included. The two-day course includes interactive group and individual exercises, videos, and using my 20 years of auditing experience to relate the concepts to real life. The four-day course includes interactive group and individual exercises, videos, and using my 20 years of auditing experience to relate the concepts to real life. A brief policy research will be completed prior to the course to ensure that, where possible, course concepts can be related to the company’s food safety system. For classroom courses, the price of £1320 does not include any venue or refreshment costs. These are to be provided by the client where applicable. Our Level Three course is structured around HACCP. It begins with prerequisites, before moving on to Flow Diagrams and the seven principles of HACCP. It’s presented in a logical order which helps with comprehension. We think it’s an excellent revision tool for our own (or other trainers) Level 3 classroom course. It covers all of the learning outcomes in the Highfield Level Three qualification. A downloadable workbook contains exercises where delegates relate the course concepts to their work environment. Food Hygiene Pre-Rating Visit
